If you look at all of the different types of games that it is possible to buy for the Xbox 360 gaming console at the moment, look at all of the hundred and possibly thousands of titles that have been released over the years since the Xbox made its first appearance, then you will see that by far the most popular and best selling genre of video game is the shooting game, or more accurately the first person shooter. This is not only true for the Microsoft Xbox 360 games console, it is true for all consoles, pc, mac and any other gaming platform or system that there is out there. And things aren't going to change over night, so you can bet the best first person shooter games will be the best selling genre of Christmas 2010.
But what are the best ones to buy? This can make for a tough choice if you don't really know anything about this kind of thing yourself, if you are not a gamer, so hopefully my top list will help. I've looked at all the new releases, best sellers lists and other peoples reviews and I have picked out a list of the top 3 for you to take a look at. For each one I have included a short description. So without further ado, here is my toplist:
Halo Reach - Undoubtedly number 1. Unquestionably the champion. This has been a hugely popular series of games, and the latest release looks to be the best one yet.
Call Of Duty Black Ops - Being released across all platforms in time for this Christmas, this is again a new addition to an already very popular series.
Gears Of War - Well worth taking a look at.
